The Dance

2004-2005, graphite on polyurethane resin, 41" high

The Dance pays tribute to the power of Eros that drives men and women to spiritual heights as well as desperate acts and follies. It is subtitled Shiva and Parvati a reference to Saktism and the dualistic energy that moves the universe. The work had its origin as a painting in the early 70's and was realized as a sculpture in 2005.
